Statistics & Exhibition

The Working Dog Committee is thrilled to announce a NEW Weight Pull Statistics
Program and the New Working Dog Exhibition at the National Specialty!

At a Glance: Weight Pull

  • The season will run from June 1st to May 31st of the following year.

  • All qualifying pulls may be submitted from groups or clubs. Please notify the committee if you

want your pulls included. We are currently accepting pulls from June 1, 2024.

  • Current stats will be published at least once per quarte

  • For Alaskan Malamutes who have earned all their titles, this is a fun reason to stay out

pulling!

  • The Top 5 from the Highest Percentage and Highest Weight categories will receive an

invitation to enter the Working Dog Exhibition at the National Specialty the following fall.

At a Glance: Backpacking & Sledding​

  • The season will run from June 1st to May 31st of the following yea

  • The title committees will nominate their best applications from the season to be ranked

according to their merits.

  • Exception to complete submitted applications: 1) If your Alaskan Malamute already has an

Advanced or Excellent title but wants an opportunity to participate, new trips that meet the A
or X qualifications may be submitted for consideration each year. 2) If you’re halfway to your
A or X title, you may submit completed A or X legs for consideration.

  • Depending on the submitted application load per year, submitted trips under this criteria may

not make the cut.

  • All titles and legs must be submitted to the requisite committees no later than June 5 th . No

exceptions will be made.

  • IMPORTANT!

  • For those submitting under #1: New trips will NOT qualify for another title, they will only apply

toward the Top 10 program for that year.

  • For those submitting under #2: If these legs are considered and/or nominated and ranked,

they are NOT approved toward any title, they are only reviewed as qualifying for the Annual
Top 10 program. All title applications must be received as complete packages for approval
review.

  • At the end of the season, the Top 10 dogs in each discipline will be published and receive an

invitation to enter the Working Dog Exhibition at the National Specialty the following fall.
